I'd really like to see a new type of chat:
One whitout the 'English only Rule'
The Multiple Language Chat
A lot of alacritans are not form english speaking countries like i am
and i would really like just to speak ym own on other languages too then just the english you are (almost) forced to speak on here because it's not allowed to speak anything else.
To supervize, maybe it's an option to take some Mods in from other countries aswell? so they can look after that chat?
I would be really exited lol

Besides, Poonie, up until the day you created this thread I had always assumed that you were a native English speaker. You're quite good at it

Isn't there a language option for the chat? Actually, isn't there a language option for the whole site? I totally understand where you're coming from with wanting to speak your own language, but why don't you just change the whole site's language to your own to make it easier for you?

I don't believe that can be reasonably implemented.<br /> <br /> Whilst even if moderators are added, there would be a moderator needed for each specific language.<br /> <br /> And the chat room would be overwhelmed with a variety of languages as well.<br /> <br /> Administrators often need to join as support for investigations or rule-breaking as well, and will often need to find proof.<br /> <br /> There would be nowhere for us to begin looking in the database if we do not know what the users are stating. Much less if someone were to speak a language that does not use an English alphabet, most of us would not begin to know what to type to search.<br /> <br /> Nor understand subtle differences in slang and context that might not be readily available in an online translator.<br /> <br /> All in all, it would be very demanding on the site and staff.<br /> <br /> I think it would be worth finding members that may speak your language and have a discussion in private messages or on an online messenger as an alternative.
